The protein blend in Lean Body Protein is pretty extensive including milk protein isolate, fast acting whey protein peptides, Slow acting casein peptides, whey protein concentrate, and calcium caseinate. While having more sources of protein might seem like a good thing, we can assure you that it is not.
Finding GOOD sources of protein is crucial, and the best sources of protein you can get are whey protein isolate and whey protein hydrolysate. While this blend includes some forms of whey protein, the other ingredients just dirty the blend.
The reason brands dirty their blends with other forms of protein is to make it more cost effective. While this does not necessarily mean the protein does not work, it definitely makes it more difficult for your body to digest and decreases the efficiency you are looking to maximize.
While it does not seem to be blatantly advertised, this protein blend does contain some BCAAs. They are mentioned in the ingredient list, but are probably not included in significant quantities.
Proteins naturally have branched chained amino acids (BCAAs) but adding more BCAA to your blend can exponentially improve the results of your workout. When a blend or drink lacks BCAAs you should make an effort to try to supplement them independently, at the same time as your actual protein blend.
